Terms of Service

Last Updated: March 26, 2026  ·  Effective Date: March 26, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our website or engaging our investigative services. These Terms govern your relationship with Watson Private Investigation Services and contain important information about your rights and obligations.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Watson Private Investigation Services website (watsonpi-bdjoazg8.manus.space) or by engaging Watson PI for investigative services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Watson Private Investigation Services, operated by David Watson (Texas PI License A11319).

2. Description of Services

Watson Private Investigation Services provides licensed private investigation services in the State of Texas, including but not limited to: criminal defense investigation support; civil investigation; surveillance operations; infidelity and domestic investigation; insurance fraud investigation; background checks and due diligence; missing persons and skip tracing; child custody investigation; Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) and bug sweeps; executive protection; process service; and undercover investigation.

All investigative services are performed by or under the direct supervision of David Watson, Texas Licensed Private Investigator (License A11319), in compliance with the Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1702, and all applicable state and federal laws.

This website serves as an informational and lead-generation resource. Engagement of investigative services requires a separate written retainer agreement signed by both parties.

3. Eligibility and Lawful Use

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this website or engage our services. By using this website, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

You agree to use this website and our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use our website or services: to request or facilitate any investigation that violates Texas law or federal law; to gather information for purposes of harassment, stalking, or unlawful surveillance of any individual; to obtain information about a person for purposes prohibited by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) or other applicable law; or to misrepresent your identity, authority, or the purpose of your inquiry.

Watson PI reserves the right to decline any engagement that we believe, in our sole professional judgment, would require us to violate applicable law or our professional ethical obligations.

4. Service Engagement and Retainer Agreement

No investigative services are provided without a signed written retainer agreement. The retainer agreement governs the specific terms of your engagement, including scope of work, fees, payment terms, deliverables, and timeline.

Submission of a contact form or request for consultation does not create an attorney-client relationship, investigator-client relationship, or any contractual obligation on the part of Watson PI. An investigator-client relationship is established only upon execution of a written retainer agreement and receipt of any required retainer payment.

Watson PI reserves the right to decline any engagement at our sole discretion, including but not limited to cases where a conflict of interest exists, where the requested services would violate applicable law, or where we determine we cannot adequately serve the client's needs.

5. Fees and Payment

Fees for investigative services are established in the written retainer agreement for each engagement. Watson PI typically charges on an hourly basis, with some services quoted on a per-project basis. A retainer deposit is generally required before work commences.

All fees are in U.S. dollars. Payment terms, accepted payment methods, and billing procedures are specified in the retainer agreement. Expenses incurred during an investigation (mileage, court filing fees, database access fees, travel, etc.) are billed separately at cost unless otherwise specified in the retainer agreement.

Unused retainer funds are refunded upon completion of the engagement, less any earned fees and expenses, unless the retainer agreement specifies otherwise.

6. Confidentiality Obligations

Watson PI maintains strict professional confidentiality regarding all client matters. We do not disclose the identity of our clients, the nature of any investigation, or any findings or reports to any third party except as authorized by the client in writing or as required by applicable law or court order.

As a client, you agree to maintain the confidentiality of any investigation strategies, methods, or findings shared with you by Watson PI, and not to disclose such information in a manner that could compromise the investigation or violate applicable law.

You acknowledge that certain investigation findings may be subject to disclosure requirements in legal proceedings and that Watson PI may be required to comply with valid subpoenas or court orders.

8. Client Portal and Document Access

Watson PI may provide you with a secure, time-limited client portal link to access retainer agreements and other documents. By accessing the client portal, you agree to: keep your portal link confidential and not share it with unauthorized parties; access the portal only for the purpose of reviewing and downloading your authorized documents; and notify Watson PI immediately if you believe your portal link has been accessed by an unauthorized party.

Portal links expire on the date specified at the time of generation. Expired links cannot be reactivated; please contact Watson PI to request a new link if needed.

Watson PI's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Watson PI in connection with the specific engagement giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits Watson PI's liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable Texas law.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
